Graded 60 EX by Sportscard Guaranty. Perhaps the greatest right-handed slugger in the history of the game, James Emory Foxx was every bit as dominant as Ruth or Gehrig were at the bat, and at times even better winning the 1933 Triple Crown and nearly winning it two other times (1932, 1938). It can be said with certainty that no player was better in the American League in 1933 than Foxx. On his way to the Triple Crown, “the Beast” hit .356, belted 48 homeruns, knocked in 163 runs and ironically those numbers were all down from his previous campaign. Presented is a superlative relic – a 1933 Goudey #154 Jimmy Foxx – graded 60 EX by SGC. The image displays bright colors and clarity while the card sits ever so slightly to the right of center. The corners and edges exhibit the mildest evidence of aging and wear with a marginally clean reverse. This treasure has the appearance of very solid EX card – or perhaps even an EX-MT card.
