Description

From 1926 to 1930 Lewis "Hack" Wilson was considered the most prolific home run hitter of the National League, as he led the league for four of those five years. In 1930, Wilson smacked 56 HRs and the still standing record of 191 RBIs, not to mention a .356 batting average. Offered is one of the truly tough-to-find cards of Wilson during his actual playing days - the 1928 Star Player Candy card. It is crease-free with a frontal appearance of an EX-NM card. The key flaw is found on the back, where the four corners show evidence that this card was once pasted into an album. SGC was forced to slab the card a 20 Fair 1.5, exclusively due to the reverse corners; however this card certainly has a much better appearance than the grade would suggest. Hack Wilson's cards are scarce to find in any condition, let alone one that has this kind of visual appeal.
