Graded SGC 60 EX 5 by SGC. The unquestioned king of the Goudey set, Babe Ruth still draws the biggest crowds in baseball. The Sultan of Swat rests on his elbow in the artist’s rendering of the great Yankee posed on this fine example of one of his most popular cards. As Barry Bonds attacks Babe Ruth’s mark of 714 home runs, the Babe just keeps getting more influence as Bonds' spotlight fades. The card has beautiful color resolution, clean edges, normal light corner wear and is slightly off-center left-to-right. The back of the card, as with most Goudey cards, shows shadows of the colorful front on the white back but otherwise is problem free. A grand card for the grand old man.
